First of all, I'm a little tired of the people who are saying don't get an iPhone on Verizon because you can't surf the net and talk on the phone. Those are people who are committed to wireless companies not called Verizon. There are no phones from Verizon that you can surf and talk at the same time. It's not something I used to use that I'm losing. If my primary concern was having an iPhone I would have switched to AT&T years ago. But I'm committed to Verizon and because of that, I live with the Verizon limitations.
Second: LOVE IT! Today I found a geocache with my iPhone! I've used my apps and they are faster than on my iTouch. Reception is better than my Samsung Rogue (and I really liked that phone).
Anybody else have the iPhone on Verizon?

My Phone Arrived Today!
Today was the day, preordained by Apple and Verizon, that I received (for a (not so) small fee) the gift of the iPhone on Verizon! Only one little hiccup in the whole thing and that may have been a preference setting in iTunes that overwrote my contacts. I've corrected that with a little help from the friendly folks at my local Verizon store. They haven't had many opportunities to work with the phones yet so they were mesmerized. All in all, a good day (considering how sick I am). Tomorrow - I try to get into a doctor's office!

Is it just me?
Is it just me or is this whole "global warming" thing a bunch of whoee? I think it's just like that word I just used! In the last 8 days our "high" temperature didn't exceed 10 in half of them. With windchill the coldest has been in the -40+ range. In my opinion, we need to start a whole bunch of gas guzzlers and let 'em run with their heaters on for a few hours! That would be wasteful, but I'm sure it would cause the temps to go up a degree or two...nah! So for those of you in milder climes, please enjoy your weather for me. I'm going to find another sweatshirt!

Black Friday 2010
Today was a very long day. We did most of the Christmas shopping for the kids, with Lynette and I tag teaming some shopping, and spending the rest of the day together. Here's the rundown:
12:00 am - Walmart
2:30 am - get home from Walmart
3:00 am - fall asleep
5:45 am - wake up as Lynette prepares to head to Kohl's
7:00 am - After a few texts back and forth, I head to Kohl's to help Lynette with my specialty - carrying stuff.
8:30 am - Head to Target
10:00 am - arrive home to regroup and figure out what we need.
12:30 pm - leave the house again to go to Best Buy, Pier 1 Imports, World Market, JCPenny and Target in Briargate. Got back home at around 6:00 pm. Got Christmas decorations ready and put up the tree.
I'm exhausted.
Goodnight!

I'm Baaack!
It's been a long time (AGAIN) since I last posted. I'm working with my eldest son on his computer class. Their project (James and Juli) is to create a blog that will be our Christmas Letter! So I'm showing him how the blog works. Any suggestions for James and Juli?

When I Go to the Airport
I've gone to the airport a lot in the past month (a lot for me, that is). Two trips to Dallas. Four different times I've walked into the airport and gone through security. Four different times I have been asked by the kind TSA agents to show them my drivers license. And all four times I have complied. The good news is, I don't think a single one of those people was a racist. How could they be? Every single person that goes through there has to show their I.D.
What is it with all the protests about Arizona's new immigrations law? It's just like the Federal law, except the Arizona authorities plan on enforcing it. If you get pulled over you have to show I.D. Sounds reasonable. If you are shown to be in the U.S. illegally, you have to go back to your country. Sounds reasonable. I wonder why it's such a big deal to enforce the law?

Busy, Busy, Busy
I've had WAY too much going on the past month, including 3 separate trips to Dallas! One for 2 days, one for 8 days and one for 12 hours! Gotta love me some Hilton Points - they're adding up! Anyone else been busy?

The Lone Star State
A lot of great things happened yesterday in the great state of Texas, not the least of which was a primary win for my good friend Rick Green! He is running for the state supreme court. Because there were 6 people running, Rick will be involved in a runoff with the second-place finisher. Happy Independence Day, Texas!

It's Been a Long Time!
But the holidays are over and I'm just going to throw this out there.
The Olympics just ended! What was your favorite moment? Had to be Joannie Rochette performing a couple of days after the unexpected death of her mother.
Spring Training is in full swing and I'm hoping to see a game in the desert this year! Who do you think is going to the World Series and why (and "cuz they're better" is not a reason)?
Now it's your turn!
